Testimonials
Here is a small sample of some of the testimonials received over the years:
My son didn’t reach any of the usual, developmental milestones when he was younger. He struggled academically and found it hard to concentrate, and was always behind his peers at school. He was quite uncoordinated, could not run or jump easily, and was never picked for sports teams.
I heard about retained reflexes on a radio program and a lot of the ‘symptoms’ resonated with me. I did some research and found Jenny. She did a thorough assessment and confirmed my suspicions. She developed a program of daily exercises for him to follow and came to the house every six weeks to reassess him and evolve the exercises as required. He enjoyed Jenny coming to the house. She was engaging and when the exercises were tricky to access, she broke them down to make them more manageable.
As he matured, he could clearly see the progress he was making himself, which kept him motivated. It has taken some time, but the progress has been incredible. His concentration has dramatically improved, and consequently his grades and his handwriting is much better.
He is now confidently playing on both football and rugby teams. His overall coordination has improved considerably. He is now considered ‘athletic’ and he is one of the fastest runners in his age group at school. Above all, he is a happy, confident teenager, very comfortable in his own skin. We are very grateful to Jenny for her perseverance and patience, and cannot recommend her highly enough to anyone who has concerns about their child.

Mrs. Monnin has worked with our daughter for three years. She was born prematurely and had prenatal reflex and attention issues notably. This was affecting her mobility in her everyday life, as well as her school achievements.
Mrs. Monnin has been a huge help to design a well rounded care program using Tomatis and daily movement practice. She also guided us towards other specialists when needed to improve specific areas.
Our daughter enjoyed every session and engaged in all the proposed activities. Mrs. Monnin constantly assessed and tailored the program to adapt to our child’s needs and progress. She was always available to explain and answer any questions we might have regarding our child’s progress or the current set of exercises.
We are extremely grateful for her dedication and for the amazing results. Our child’s attention and body coordination has greatly improved as she is now able to do activities that require very fine motor skills. Mrs. Monnin even pointed at strong areas where she could keep developing.
We can only recommend her as her expertise and kindness have been a great support to us.

Finding Jenny was like finding a golden needle in a haystack. After years of trying to figure out how I could best help my son with his reading, spelling, writing, and most of all self-confidence, we stumbled across Jenny when we moved our son to BSP.
Jenny immediately noticed that our son had retained reflexes and this was ultimately the cause of his difficulty in sitting still, especially during carpet time, his emotional immaturity and his difficulty in reading quickly with accuracy.
We arrived at BSP when our son was seven years old with a reading and spelling age of a 5-6 year old. In 2.5 years, he had managed to achieve approximately 5 years in single word spelling and reading progress. That was all down to Jenny.
Jenny went over and above both in her work with our son at school and outside of school as we saw her for extra sessions to help with the retained reflexes. He became more grounded and self confident, enjoying better social interactions. Her support for both my son and myself was more than I could ever have hoped for, and if you are in need of someone to support your child’s development, I would not hesitate to recommend Jenny.
She is one in a million.

We have been working with Mrs Monnin for 18 months now. We knew our son was struggling in certain areas, but did not understand why, or know how to address this. Mrs Monnin assessed our son, and identified a retained ATNR, TLR and STNR. He had a poor sense of proprioception. This was affecting his balance, and coordination. Mrs Monnin set a programme of exercises, taking approximately 10 minutes a day.
We have worked through this programme over the last 18 months. It has taken dedication from both myself and my son, however when we both started to see the results, we knew that we had to finish the programme. My son could see that the exercises were helping him and this was his motivation to continue.
18 months on, and our son has gone from avoiding playing football in the playground, to wanting to join a football club. He has started playing rugby, and is also enjoying surfing and tennis. The way he moves his body has changed, and looks more natural. In school, his reading stamina has improved. These changes have allowed him to integrate more with his peers, rather than actively avoid certain situations. This has had a huge impact on his confidence, and happiness in general.
When we started the programme with Mrs Monnin, we did not understand just how much these issues were affecting him. Now we are reaching the end of the programme with bilateral integration exercises, it is so clear how much he was struggling, the impact this was having on several areas of his life, and how much he has come on in the last 18 months.
Thank you Mrs Monnin!

Jenny Monnin has been, hands down, the most important influence on our daughter's learning journey. Arriving in a new country with undiagnosed dyslexia, our daughter entered Year 2 unable to read many 3 letter words and with significant concentration issues. Not only was Jenny tirelessly dedicated to our daughter but her precision and expertise in all areas of the developing child is unmatched.
Within 2 years of starting Jenny's programme, our daughter was a confident, focused student with a love for reading books as advanced as Harry Potter. And now, she needs very little effort to ace her spellings tests, even as her teachers challenge her with 5 syllable words.
I don't know where we'd be without Jenny's remarkable influence.

Prior to joining BSP, we had been made aware by the previous school of behavioral issues and the school were in the process of referring Conor. I was advised that he was at the bottom of the class and may need a specialist school……… Jenny quickly established that Conor had not managed to pick up any of the reading strategies in his first two years at school and basically took him back to square one-Sam and jam. Conor knew enough vocabulary to fool others into thinking he was reading when in fact he was just looking at pictures and making good guesses! She created individual lesson plans that were as creative and imaginative as they were effective. Within the first year, we had also been facilitated to get a dyslexia and ADHD diagnosis. Not only did she teach my son-she cared for him too, and he soon realized that she was on his side which meant he looked forward to their time together and was willing to put in the work.
Jenny’s hard work and determination to treat the number of children she looks after as individuals is amazing and I know first hand the hours she puts into achieve this. Her support to me as a parent should also be acknowledged…… Conor had the blessing of this first rate teaching support for three years, which I have no doubt have significantly altered his life outcome. We arrived with him two years behind with low self-esteem. We left with him reading at age and with confidence.
Conor achieved excellent O ‘ level results and an amazing 2As and an A* at A level. He is now into his 3rd year of studying business at Bath university.

Our journey through dyslexia with our son, Brennan, started in 2015, when he was starting Year 2 at BSP. In the first few weeks, his teacher became concerned about his reading skills. We were immediately referred to Mrs Monnin. In our first meeting, we were so impressed with Mrs. Monnnin‘s knowledge of the skills needed and how she planned to guide Brennan to reach his goals. Before working with Mrs.Monnin, Brennan cried whenever he was asked to read, his confidence was nonexistent, and he was very discouraged.
After just a few short weeks, he was eager to learn, and the tears were gone. Mrs Monnin showed him that dyslexia was not a disability, but a valuable trait that would be an asset to him. She encouraged him to persevere through the difficulties and value himself. Through the following three years, we were amazed with Mrs Monnin‘s ability to facilitate progress, inspire hard work, and encourage a love for learning in our son. Her communication with us throughout was stellar. After every group session and every 1:1 tutoring session, we received a detailed report on what was accomplished. We were also given recommended practice activities that continued to help him improve. She made learning fun with games and clever memorization techniques. It was a blessing to be able to work with her throughout our entire three years at BSP. The continuity of working with her enabled Brennan to make further progress.
When asked about what Brennan misses most about living in France, it’s not the good food or amazing art and culture, it is Mrs Monnin!
